The time to get into mobile is NOW.

Dear Friend,
Have you ever had one of those ideas that wakes you up out of a deep sleep? And the idea has so much magnitude that you just aren’t able to go back to sleep?
It happened to me. At about 1:00 in the morning on May 23, 2007, I woke up out of a dead sleep to a very clear message.
“Mobile marketing is going to be huge!”
At the time the iPhone had not even hit the market yet, most people only got email on their desktop computer, not very many of us were texting (in America anyway) and hardly anyone knew what “Apps” were much less had downloaded one.
However as consumers, we were finally embracing the Internet. Those who had previously feared making online purchases, accessing bank accounts online, and giving out email addresses, had shifted their thinking; welcoming the Internet into their lives.
For some reason in the middle of the night my brain just turned on and the magnitude of what would happen when phones started doing more and consumers starting using them for all the things that we were doing on the Internet.
This was the moment when so many powerful thoughts harmoniously crashed together in my mind. I realized that
I envisioned BILLIONS of people grasping the power of the Internet, anywhere using cell phones. I saw these “phones” being used for text messaging, getting on the Internet everywhere, taking pictures, playing games, calculating tips, scheduling appointments, and more.

Sure enough, that is exactly where we are today.

Have you ever stopped to think about how powerful mobile phones are? People don’t do ANYTHING without their mobile phones anymore. We won’t go back home if we forget our lunches or fear we’ve left the coffee pot on, but we’ll flip a u-turn in a panic and drive 45 minutes or more to retrieve our cell phones.
Since that night in the spring of 2007 I just knew mobile was going to be big.
And I knew I wasn’t going to get left behind.
How do I know? Because I’m here to show you how to make money with mobile.
In the early morning hours of May 23, 2007 I registered the domain name MobileMarketingProfits.com, jotted down a couple pages of ideas and went back to bed. I figured in the morning I would get started in mobile marketing by finding a bunch of free reports to sign up for, home study courses to buy and books to read.
I was wrong.
Instead of finding a nice paved road to the riches of mobile marketing, I found a jumble of vendors in an industry that was so new that no one had starting teaching others how to take advantage of the opportunities. Everyone was still learning! Every path I walked led me to a dead end. Every opportunity lead nowhere. Instead of answers, I found more questions.
I was confused and frustrated.
(I bet you have these same concerns now.)
After spending a month trying to figure all of this out, I realized that if I couldn’t find the nicely paved road to successful mobile marketing I would have to build it myself. Since nobody was teaching how to reaching customers and building successful businesses through with the newest exciting and promising venue, I knew that the wake up call I received was to pave for others the path that I couldn’t find.
To “write the book” on mobile marketing. To give others the mobile marketing “business in a box” that I so desperately wanted, but couldn’t find. It occurred to me that sharing this knowledge with others was my place in the mobile industry.
I had been a highly respected partner in MarketAbility, a well-known book publicity firm for the previous 12 years. I was a favorite speaker at conventions and seminars for those wanting to know how to publish and market their books. I had co-written MAXIMUM EXPOSURE Marketing System, the step-by-step handbook on book marketing that was recommended by almost every professional in the self publishing industry, and had guided hundreds of authors through the process of marketing and selling their books.
In those 12 years I ran the operations aspect of the business: hiring employees, dealing with vendors and overseeing the finances. I also marketed our business and made sales calls to authors every day. I saw how hard it was for them to get their books published and selling.
Knowing what I knew about book publishing, I knew that one of the toughest steps is landing a book deal — especially one with a respectable publisher.
I didn’t have time to get turned down.
And I didn’t have the patience to self publish.
But I DID have connections in the publishing industry. And I knew I had to use them.
I made one phone call to one publisher. They agreed to read my book proposal. This publisher, the very first publisher I contacted, instantly recognized what I knew – mobile marketing is the next big thing.
I submitted my proposal as quickly as I could. On a family trip to Canada that summer I heard the news that my proposal was accepted. Something that thousands of other authors aren’t able to do easily I did.
I landed a book deal!
The next 10 months were spent researching mobile marketing. I went to conferences, interviewed dozens of industry insiders, read every case study I could get my hands on, and even studied cases while they were still in progress. I talked to countless mobile marketing vendors and combined mobile with my 20 years of business and marketing experience into my book, The Mobile Marketing Handbook: A Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Dynamic Mobile Marketing Campaigns.
The Mobile Marketing Handbook quickly became a best selling book on Amazon and is in bookstores across the country, and is selling like crazy today.
From the emails, calls, Facebook posts and Twitter messages I get I can tell that the people buying and reading my book are excited. They feel a whole new world of opportunity opening up to them. They recognize the potential in mobile marketing. They see people walking around with their eyes on their mobile screens and their thumbs on the keys. They know that the time is right to learn mobile marketing.
SOMETHING STARTED HAPPENING THAT I DID NOT EXPECT.
Practically every day people from around the world who have read my book contact me to ask me how to get into the business of mobile marketing. They want to know how to make money with mobile.
What is the fastest way to get started in mobile marketing as a business?
Is there a very solid Mobile Marketing 101 workshop or instruction guide?
Where are the opportunities in mobile?
(It is almost as if there are too many choices and I can’t decide what to do.)
Can you provide me a clear set of instructions on
how to set up a mobile marketing campaign
so I can get started?
How do I get a short code I can sell text messaging to other people?
What are the ways to effectively use mobile marketing,
so that I don’t waste time chasing ideas in the wrong direction?
What is the ‘cutting edge’ information I need to know to get started?
Can you share some solid information about how to make money in the mobile market?
How can I monetize my startup mobile marketing business?
What is the MOBILE MARKETING BUSINESS MODEL?
Do you know of any real life examples of how some people like me
have created a mobile business from the ground, up?
Is there something to help me focus on my marketing efforts
and see how to integrate mobile marketing?
I need a GOOD OVERVIEW on the opportunities involved in mobile marketing,
ways to successfully enter the mobile marketplace,
and a rundown on useful mobile marketing tactics. Do you have that?
How I can make money now with Affiliate Marketing and Mobile?
How can I use mobile marketing for information-type products?
Is there a way to offer Mobile Marketing services to local businesses?
I need case studies about the success of small businesses using mobile marketing,
including local resources.
Do you have any tips for getting my existing marketing materials onto mobile devices,
without reinventing the wheel or setting up a different tech channel I’d have to keep track of?
What do I need to know about site optimization and keyword research for mobile?
What is the best way to incorporate text messages into one of my products?
Do you have any solid opportunities for lead generation and
implementation of systems for prospects/clients to benefit from?
How do I get prospects to take the leap in mobile marketing?
How is e-mail marketing is adapting to the mobile scene?
As you can see, the overall theme of the questions that come to me is “How do I make money with mobile?” Because The Mobile Marketing Handbook is about how to implement mobile marketing campaigns, not really about how to make money with mobile marketing, I decided to create something more.
When I sat down to create a ‘business in a box’ program that would teach people how to build a business around mobile I got pretty excited because I realized that I am uniquely qualified to do so. First of all, I did literally ‘write the book’ about mobile marketing and I also have 20 years of marketing experience to back me up.
When I first started in business I was a small business marketing consultant. I worked with local businesses helping them to effectively market their companies. It was that experience years ago that helped me to see the huge potential of mobile to work for local businesses in today’s market.
Also, back in 2002 I started attending Ken McCarthy’s System Seminar events. For four years I went to every System Seminar and learned Internet Marketing principles from the very best faculty. I implemented the strategies on behalf of MarketAbility and for our clients. I taught hundreds of authors how to use internet marketing to sell more books.
In 2008 and 2009 I was honored to be on the System Seminar faculty, teaching mobile marketing to internet marketers. And at the end of 2009 (a little over two years after jumping into mobile) I was named to the Mobile Women to Watch 2010 list that is published by MobileMarketer.com.
My experience in local business marketing, Internet marketing and being a business owner laid the foundation for me to combine all of that with my mobile marketing knowledge into a very powerful course about how to start a business in mobile marketing.
IMPORTANT: Please read!
First, let me say that there are two paths in mobile marketing as a business and the distinction is important. On one hand there is mobile marketing as a tool to market local businesses (restaurants, spas, real estate agents, night clubs, etc.) and then there is mobile marketing applied to Internet marketing business models (affiliate marketing, lead generation, building and selling apps, monetized mobile content, etc.).
I have created programs to help you proceed down either one of these paths.
Path #1
LOCAL BUSINESS MOBILE MARKETING
What you will see below (Mobile Marketing Business in a Box and the Mobile Marketing Masters Group) are about utilizing mobile marketing for local business marketing. These programs are designed around the brick and mortar business world.
You will learn how to build a mobile business with local businesses of any size (Mom and Pops to medium size companies with multiple locations to franchises or corporate level clients) as your clients.
Path #2
MOBILE MARKETING USING INTERNET MARKETING BUSINESS MODELS
If you are looking for a mobile marketing business that will utilize Internet marketing models, like affiliate marketing, selling apps, monetizing content through sales or ads, then you will want to take a look at MobiBlueprint*, a course I co-teach with Gauher Chaudhry of PayPerClickFormula.com. It covers the mobile marketing world from the perspective of Internet Marketers.
[*NOTE: Right now the page will say that MobiBlueprint is SOLD OUT. That's because we sold out the limited launch to our private lists for an initial offering. If this is the type of mobile marketing you want to know about, please sign up on that page for access to the video. It will put you on the announcement list for when we launch officially.]
There is no right or wrong path; it is just important that you know that these are very different programs based on what you want to do with mobile marketing.

Mobile Marketing Business in a Box includes everything you need to learn about how to start a mobile marketing business focused on working with local businesses.

P.S.
If you are interested in getting personal help from me in the form of individual consultations and live classes walking you through each of these modules, I have GREAT news for you. I also offer a Mobile Marketing Masters Group four to five times per year. It is only $797 and includes the Mobile Marketing Business in a Box. (Yes, that’s right. It is only $200 more and includes six live classes and individual consultations with me.)
The catch is that the Masters classes are limited to a maximum of 25 participants per session. They typically sell out quickly. So if you are interested, sign up right away. You will get instant access to the Business in a Box materials and then can take the classes when the next session starts.
Once my business adviser figures out that I am offering four 30-minute individual consultations she will likely make me raise my prices. I can’t guarantee how long I can offer the Masters Group at that rate.
