Hi Kim-

This is a great marketing idea. How about also incorporating a QR Code ticket, that is pushed to the person's handset after they RSVP via MMS for Verizon users or a WAP push for other carriers? Users can then swipe their mobile phones at the door to gain entry to the event. There are a few technology vendors out there that will license the scanners, and some machines even print out tickets so the entrant can have their ticket on them at all times.

Best,
Kate

Yes, you could have Two Way communication for that.
Either the event organisers text a particular list of people who can show this text and get in the VIP
Or
A short code can be advertised by the event organiser who can receive reports on the VIP people replyign with their names/details.

Cheers!

Kim,

Thanks for the shout out. Our next version will encompass location based services. Imagine you get off your southwest flight and are barely off the tarmac before you get a message from MGM Grand (that you have opt’d into) and it is inviting you to attended an event, or receive a discount on a room. mobileStorm however is gonna make damn sure that these services are all opt in and consumer privacy is not compromised. We will be living in this world soon!

Giff:

Thanks for asking. You can use the handy dandy Contact Us page I just put up thanks to your question. (SMILE) As you can tell I am still building out the blog, but since mobile marketing is so hot things are moving along quicker than I am. Sorry this wasn't here when you first came by.
