Marketing Resources Abound

I am currently working on my book’s marketing plan and have come across a couple of really great marketing resources that I thought I would share with you. They are not specifically mobile marketing related, but I am confident that very soon there will be mobile marketing categories on each of them.

First, I have long been a fan of John Jantsch’s DuctTapeMarketing.com. If the name alone doesn’t grab you then the amazing articles and resources will. Be sure to join the Workbench – The Community for Small Business Marketers. I’m a member, you can see my Workbench profile here.

Next is MarketingProfs.com, a membership based site that I am happy to say I have just joined. To say that this site is chock-full of marketing information is an understatement. Frankly, I am not sure I can even make a dent in absorbing it all. I am very excited though for the upcoming Online Seminars, especially Generating Leads With Compelling White Papers with Michael Stelzner.

Third is a new blog, NewMediaSandbox, that looks very promising. There’s just something about Roland Reinhart that grabs me. He is very adept at pointing out marketing concepts and he’s a Star Trek fan to boot. Can’t go wrong by checking in with Roland.

Oh, and if you are writing a book too, be sure to see my other site – HowToMarketMyBook.com that has a Free One-Page Fill in the Blank Book Marketing Plan.

  1. I would suggest the Smartbrief site – they aggregate news into a newsletter from a ton of different industries and (I’m a big fan of online technology for marketers) I’ve found their IAB Smartbrief to be rich with good information. Looks as if they have a Smartbrief on “wireless.”

    Check it out here: http://www.smartbrief.com/index.jsp

  2. Thanks, Janet! SmartBrief looks terrific. As does your blog. I’m adding it to the Marketing Blog list in my sidebar. Nice to meet you.

  3. Specific to book marketing, BiblioScribe.com provides a place where authors and publishers can still market their books in the same place that they can be purchased. BiblioScribe.com allows members to use free article and Press release tools that embeds their book as part of the article, and readers have the opportunity of locating and buying the subject book directly from Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Powell’s, as well as corresponding UK and Canadian online booksellers. Additionally, the Biblioscribe.com members’ public profile provides links to multiple books specified by the membe, as well as the memner’s own website. BiblioScribe membership is also free.
